Learn To Swim Today
2010 Sign Up:
please read the following carefully as many things have changed:
All questions regarding
sign-up/registration/class recommendations/fees/schedules/etc. MUST be received
by Saturday, March 6 if you want them answered prior to registration.
Sign up for 2010 will run from
Thursday, March 11 at 7 a.m. through Friday, March 12 at midnight.
ALL sign-ups should be via email. Please list your top three choices, in
order, and note any dates/times that absolutely won't work. Current
clients will have priority over new students. Be sure and note on your
email if you are a return client. I will begin
assigning people to classes on Saturday, March 13. At that time, you will be
notified of which class(es) you are in, and if for some reason it doesn't work
out with your schedule, you will need to notify me asap but will not be
guaranteed another spot. Because of the severe cut in number of classes offered
this summer, payment must be received by
Thursday, April 1. On April 2 I will drop all unpaid students from
the rosters, without notification, and will begin filling spots from the waiting
list.
Note from Debbie Concerning 2010 Schedule:
It is my sincere hope that I don’t neglect any clients with the changes I am making regarding swim lessons this summer. Summer is always a crazy-busy time of year for me, and I am trying to do a better job this year of meeting both my family’s and the community’s needs. That being said, I have decided to focus my efforts on non-swimmers.
As much as I love teaching the more advanced swimmers, teaching high school full time and offering stroke classes in the evenings really isn’t feasible. I added that to the fact that my pool REALLY isn’t large enough to properly train swim team kids, and decided the most logical thing to do was nix all stroke classes. I feel as if these kids are water-safe and can refine their strokes in other programs. For what it’s worth, we tried Mayde Creek Aquatics this fall and really enjoyed it. I have also heard good things about LifeTime Fitness’ swim team classes. I am truly sorry if the late notice regarding this change makes it hard for your children to be ready for swim team, I just feel as if I need to focus on my family and what is best for them.
As for the summer, my plan is to teach primarily (maybe only) Beg. I and Beg. II classes. If your child is more advanced than that, feel free to sign them up…..however, I am focusing on non-swimmers and am not going to make any promises as to how much I can work with more advanced children. I can work them into the class and give them their fair share of time, but can’t drastically change the course of the class if they are more advanced than the other children in it.
